A blog in fall? The world is full of surprises. The road season seamlessly transitioned into the Dirty Draft. A record 30 in attendance on opening day, including a large group of Junior Drafters. Monday nights until the snow flies, meet at the East Chalet at Blackhawk at 4:45. Membership required. Bring lights! Once the snow does fly, we will transition to the fat tire Drift Draft.

The “leave no Drafter” motto was left on the road. After BrickO suffered a bout of separation anxiety, she send out a full search party to find Keez. Sparky for the win!

Fortunately, the parents of the Junior Drafters were much more responsible in following the golden rule. If you have a Junior Drafter, please consider joining the fun! Pedals optional.

There have been several requests for long sleeve MTB jerseys. The entire Drafter Hincapie Store is open through Halloween. No tricks, lots of treats: short and long sleeve MTB jerseys, road kits (Axis club cut, Velocity race cut), knee warmers and arm warmers for fall, along with winter polar jerseys and jackets. ORDER HERE. There will not be a new design in 2027, so this is it! Unfortunately, they do not offer Junior Drafter sizes, but XXS should suffice for all but the infant division.
The dirty fun has extended far north to Laona. The Hibernator is not a sleeper. There is no official time chip- just a lovely day spent in the Nicolet-Chequamegon National Forest.

Keep an eye out for more Bears next year.

Further south, several Drafters tackled Little Sugar MTB race in Bentonville. All agreed green is the favorite trail color. The black brought some black and blue.

And traveling even further south, where Bears aren’t so much a threat as crocodiles, Footer took on the competition.

Draft responsibly,
BrickO
